Ephesians 1:13-14(KJV) 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Do you know someone like this?

Recently I asked someone about their salvation; I asked are you saved and the answer was I hope so.  My first thought was he has not studied to be sure.  From his statement it become clear that he has not studies his believes.  He may have accepted Jesus because of the fire in hell.  We call this  buying a "Fire Insurance Policy".  I hope that when the policy comes due it will cover his sin.  Remember to study what you believe.  Don't accept what others say, they maybe wrong.

The most important thing that has happened to us is receiving the Holy Spirit, that same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.  All we had to do was believe that Jesus died, was buried and rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit.  That's the Gospel, the good news.  We then become part of the body of Christ.  How important is the body of Christ.  Well it's the difference between life and death!  Please read the article next and forward to a friend .....

Sealed By the Holy Spirit

doveBy Stewart Topping

Remember, when you make peace with God; it is because you accepted Jesus as your savior and that you believed that Jesus died on the cross for your sins; that He was buried and then He rose from the grave by the power of God.  All we have to do is believe; but sometimes we think we know better and try to work for our salvation.

What makes Christianity different than other religions is that our savior rose from the dead.  No other religion has a savior that has risen from the dead.  Their religion has a god that wants us to do good works.

Now we are forgiven by God and covered with His righteousness.  God now sees us as if we had not sinned. (Justified)  Well, what should our next step be in this new relationship with God?  The next step should be to receive the peace of God which means; believing, trusting, and listening to God through our relationship with God.

Here is the confidence you should know that you are saved until you are redeemed.  If you have the Holy Spirit living in you to help you live the right type of life.  We have to realize that we been sealed with the Holy Spirit after we trusted, heard the word of truth and believed.  Always remember the following verse.

Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV) 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

"In whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. The A.V. gives the impression that the sealing with the Holy Spirit is a second work of grace which occurs "after" believing. The present participle means, "Upon believing ye were sealed." Various kinds of seals are used in the business world: sealed envelopes, notary public seals, seals on stock certificates, seals on registered letters, seals on machinery to keep grease in or dirt out. A seal is proof of authenticity, a guarantee of safe delivery or of safe keeping.
